The Louisville Jedi Academy is a weapons class offered at Bluegrass Martial Arts. We meet once a week to explore how the weapon of the light saber might be used, apart from the other fantasy elements of the Star Wars universe. Jedi Academy is a class on the sword and covers several differing traditional sword forms while using "Jedi" terminology. Anyone can attend our academy, we are open to all ages, but we have found that many of the younglings need to be of a certain age, at least 4 years old, before they are ready to follow a full hour of instruction. The academy is included with any Bluegrass Martial Arts membership, but if you are only interested in attending Jedi Academy we do offer a $10 drop in rate. We have real content, real techniques for each system, a full vocabulary of terminology, there is even a ranking process, and we spend an hour each week diving into the content of each of the 10 different lightsaber combat forms.
